Thanks to the advanced techniques and optimized site architecture, TUE can experiment with new production processes on a small scale, enabling them to quickly test, learn, and adapt. This enables Thai Union Europe to respond flexibly to market trends and consumer demands, while continuously striving for sustainable and innovative solutions within the food industry. To strengthen the Innovation Hub we are looking for a Senior Product & Process Developer.
Drive bold innovation in seafood technologies and products
Functie
- Responsible for developing consumer-centric product innovations in close collaboration with the TUE markets, TU Global Innovation Center (Bangkok), Operations and Quality, with a strong emphasis on scouting and integrating new technologies and processes
- Translate consumer needs into scalable prototypes, identify and integrate new technologies, and ensure a seamless transition from product concept to production while monitoring trends and supporting the innovation process
- Provide technical support to resolve any issues that arise during manufacturing, while continually exploring new methods and technologies to improve efficiency and product quality
- Build collaborative projects with scientific institutes, food research ecosystems, start-ups and/or suppliers helping delivering disruptive ideas for innovation on product and process
- Collaborate closely with Nutrition department to ensure new products comply with the nutrition guidelines and vision and support in communication programs both internally & externally
- Manage and oversee the maintenance of the pilot plant and analytical lab in the Innovation Hub Ensure all new insights are properly documented and when relevant, share in the wider R&D community
- Report to R&D Director Ambient Innovations.
Profiel
- BSc and MSc in Food Technology, or a similar education
- Extensive expertise in product development and food processing, with a strong track record in the FMCG industry
- Knowledge of various preservation technologies/canning methods is a plus
- Able to manage and influence multiple ongoing projects
- Fit with a ‘start-up environment within a multinational’; comfortable working in an organisation with various cultures, willing to travel approximately 15% of your time
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Dutch (B2 level)
- You will excel in this role if you have strong analytical skills, possess technological insights, and can effectively communicate these within a team setting. You have a helicopter view but can also zoom in when needed. You thrive on challenging projects and are confident in standing your ground.
